if I ever do grow up, a spec B would be my ride
it’s already tastefully lowered, has the wheels I love (and own), the fantastic red brick leather interior, but unfortunately is 1 year too early and has the 5 speed box
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

I don’t know anything about pricing on these but being that clean and the amount of work that was done + STI without looking like an STI... That’s tempting.

From what I understand, the 5 speed box in the LGTs is stronger than the old WRX 5 speed that is famous for breaking. Though my ‘05 LGT really could use a taller top gear for highway cruising.
A Spec B would fix two of my annoyances with my LGT too: the soft suspension and the brakes. (How can 13in rotors with dual piston calipers fade so quickly on a track?)

it seems about middle of the road price wise, and being from a business not a private seller means it could be financed. You know, were I looking for an adult grown up financed car experience, it seems to check a lot of the boxes.

It’s not an STI without being an STI. It’s a Legacy GT with an upgraded suspension and Torsen rear LSD. It doesn’t have the power, brakes, active center LSD and front LSD of the STI.

he speaks the truth, its more like a slightly better than WRX not quite STI. 2.5turbo over the WRX’s 2.0 turbo.

Don’t forget, you can also finance a private party purchase, it just takes a bit more planning and legwork.
Getting preapproved at a bank isn’t hard, even getting a loan before going to see a car is possible (I even was able to have the loan put into my checking account to let me try and haggle with the seller). You’ll have to get the car’s information and title to the bank afterwards, but that’s not hard to do either.

I’d love to import a previous gen Blitzen

I am a MASSIVE fan of the previous gen. we’ve owned 5 (i think) of them now, and I actually wanted one instead fo my current impreza but couldnt find one in good condition.
I like the blitzen edition, but I would have to ditch some of its special body work and wing, they have not dated wel

Oh, see, the Blitzen is one of the few crazy japanese wings I actually like

Spec B’s have a 6 speed just no DCCD.

depending on the year, it was first released as a 5spd.

You are correct had to look it up, in 06 the Spec B. only 500 all had 5 speeds, 07-09 all had 6 speeds
![]() 01/09/2018 at 16:58 |

so I’ll take the 07-09, it had alcantara inserts in the seats too!
but, the 06 wheels are perfection!

Oh why did you have to remind me of that, now i want 07-09 spec B seats for the Outback.....damn you.
